According to the actress, it was tough to gain foothold in the Hindi film industry especially if the aspiring actor does not have any film background.
Talking to press, Rimii said an actor from a non-film background has to strive hard to prove himself or herself at every given opportunity.
''I too had to struggle a lot. But, I have been fortunate. It's just a coincidence that I landed in good projects and big banners,'' she added saying there was a lot to be achieved in her career, but was happy the way it was shaping.
Rimii could be seen in two of her new release -- 'Kyon Ki' and 'Deewane Hue Pagal' this month.
In 'Kyon Ki', directed by her mentor Priyadarshan, she is cast opposite Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
Even though Rimii plays second fiddle to Kareena in 'Kyon Ki', but she is the only female lead in 'Deewane Hue Pagal', where she is being wooed by Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Shahid Kapur and Paresh Rawal.
She clarified that 'Deewane Hue Pagal' is not a sequel to Firoz Nadiadwala's earlier film 'Awara Pagal Deewana', starring Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty.
''This is a comedy and a suspense film,'' the actor said.
''My character lives in Dubai with her aunt, played by actress Supriya Pilgaonkar, and the story revolves around how the four men whom she is friends with try to woo her. The suspense is which guy the girl would choose,'' Rimii said.
The bollywood actress feels a single heroine film puts lot of pressure and responsibility on the actress as the story revolves around her.
Some of the projects she is working on are 'Golmal' with Ajay Devgan and 'Phir Hera Pheri' with Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty.
Rimii said she likes doing comedy films.
''It's tough to make people laugh, '' she added.
