Nikhil made his debut in 2008's My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, and has been part of several films like Raavan, Shor in the City and Hate Story Richa made her debut in 2008 too, with Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! But it was her performance in Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2 that got her rave reviews and the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Richa's performance as 'Bholi Punjaban' in Fukrey and Raseela in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela quickly made her a favorite of both- the audience and the critics.
Richa and Nikhil will now be seen together as the lead roles in Suryaveer Singh Bhullar's Tamanchey- an intense love-story set against the backdrop of crime. The film also stars Damandeep Singh and is directed by Navneet Behal.
