A host of special features made the ceremony significant this year. For starters, Videocon came up with a concept called 'Stars that make the stars' wherein Bollywood stars were asked at the Green Carpet Rendezvous who their inspiration was and the person they owed their success to. The concept was in synergy with Videocon's commitment in bringing inspiring and innovative product range.
Besides the usual awards, there was also a special award category, Videocon IIFA Super Entertainer of the Year Award. Initiated exclusively by Videocon this year, the award was bagged by Deepika Padukone.

Videocon d2h also launched its latest innovation, India's first DTH Radio Frequency Remote with Earphones at the Videocon IIFA Weekend. What added the extra sparkle was the coming together of Bollywood and Hollywood. The highlight of the evening was when our desi Deepika Padukone made Hollywood hunk Kevin Spacey tap to lungi dance.
