Kabir Sadanand's 'Fugly' has barely collected Rs 7.5 crore in its opening weekend. Exhibitor Rajesh Thadani says, "The film's performance is poor considering the fact that its cost of production was quite high."
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar's film, 'Holiday - A Soldier is Never Off Duty' continues to do well at the box office. Trade analyst and independent distributor Suniel Wadhwa says that the film has collected around Rs 20 crore in its second weekend. "If the film keeps up with its currently steady performance even on weekdays, it will collect Rs 100 crore."
Other trade pundits are also positive about the film joining the coveted Rs 100 crore club. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh says, "After 'Rowdy Rathore' and 'Housefull', Akshay Kumar's films went through a rough patch but now it looks like he's back in demand." He adds that 'Fugly' has met with mixed reactions. "It did okay in certain areas, but it has failed to make an impact in most places," says Adarsh.
