The MMS of a bath scene featuring Fardeen Khan and Koena Mitra in ‘Ek Haseena Ek Khiladi' is being circulated with the intention of generating a buzz around the film.
Says Nandy senior, "We are cashing in on the curiosity that the word MMS evokes among the people. It doesn't mean that we are promoting sleaze. It is just healthy marketing to promote new movies."
Though the film has been passed with "for adults only" certificate by Censor Board, it doesn't stop PNC from promoting the film through MMS which will be easily accessible for minors too.
"It's a censored version, we made sure that we only circulated a censored version of the clip. It's an adult film so there would be slightly more than you would see on TV. These kinds of things are being aired on television as well, so I don't think that's a problem," Nandy adds.
Koena Mitra too defends her producer's publicity stunt.
"What's wrong with the MMS? If I was ashamed of those scenes, I wouldn't' have shot them. It is a novel way of promoting a film," she contends.
The film is slated to release this month.
