So what if Rani is now married in one of the most reputed cine mishpocha of Bollywood, for this sinewy performer her own identity matters most. With one of her recent statements at a press meet, Rani made it loud and clear to everybody that, she is not going to follow the footsteps of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan who suffixed their respective husbands' surnames to their names.

While addressing the media persons at the the launch of "Mardaani" trailer Rani stated that, "`I love my name and I will keep to that. For my films people know me as Rani Mukerji and they will always know me by that name. Personally, when I admit my children in school that time there will be change of surname. But for my fans it will always remain Rani Mukerji".

Rani who recently married YRF's leading man, Aditya Chopra on being asked about the reason behind her secret marriage stated that, it was Aditya's idea to keep their wedding an unpretentious affair.
