Vidya Balan's plan to visit tea stalls dressed as Narendra Modi as a part of 'Bobby Jasoos' promotions was cancelled at the last minute
These days, Bollywood stars are willing to go to any lengths to promote their film. Vidya Balan, for one, is going all out to promote her film, Bobby Jasoos. It turns out that the actress who was supposed to visit tea stalls in Gujarat dressed up as, ahem, PM Narendra Modi, had to call off the stunt.
Says a source, "The actress was going to visit some tea stalls in Vadodra but the plan was cancelled because of protests against the actress. Vidya had flown in early on Friday morning as she wanted to spend some time on getting ready."
The source adds that the actress, along with her team, had worked on her PM look for quite some time. "But due to protests, the authorities had to cordon off the area near the tea stall that Vidya planned to visit. The swelling crowds meant that the plan had to be cancelled at the last minute," says the source.
When contacted, the film's spokesperson confirmed the news. "Yes, there was a lot of on-ground commotion in Vadodara and we had no choice but to cancel Vidya's visit to the tea stall," said the spokesperson.
