During a recent interaction, Salman Khan, who was in a jovial mood, spoke about singing all songs for his upcoming film, Kick. It turns out that the actor is contemplating the idea of doing so and including them in the film's music album.
The actor said, `I am going to sing a slow romantic number. And it's just not one song that I have sung, it's two to three songs and I may sing more. This slow number is not easy to sing, but I will try it anyway. If I get this song right, then I can sing many more songs for other films as well."
He added that given the fact that a Bollywood film has five to six songs on average, `One should sing at least one song.` He also pointed out that he has picked up this talent from his father. `I paint because my mother does and I have got this voice from my father. Wajid (of the music director duo, Sajid-Wajid) was a big help to me when I sang the songs; he'd sing one line and then I would repeat it. In any case, I sit in for the music sittings of all my films,` he said, adding that Meet Brothers and Sajid-Wajid have worked on the song, Hangover.
The actor counts old Hindi songs such as Door kaheen jab din dhal jaye, Ramayya vastavaiyya and Yamla pagla deewana, among his favourites. `I like them along with retro and western music, including rap that I cannot understand a word of,` he said.
