The director of Antarmahal, Rituparno Ghosh is an agry man these days. The talented director is
miffed up over the fact that people are accusing him of making an overtly sexual film which was
suppoed to be a tale of women explotation in old days.
Says Ritu, "I fail to understand why Indians cannot accept sexuality as a part of life. I heard that
many people said I created pornography. This is sad coming from a country that adores the
architectural excellence of Khajuraho and takes pride in the Kama Sutra."
"The intimate scenes were not meant to entertain. They were meant to stir the audience's minds.
Antarmahal is about a zamindar who makes it a point to have sex with his wife every night so she
can bear him a child."
Antar Mahal stars Soha Ali Khan, Jackie Shroff and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles.
