The director has managed to rope in an enviable list of artistes for guest appearances. These include Karan Johar, Juhi Chawla, Abhishek Bachchan, Suniel Shetty and Naseeruddin Shah.
Shabbir Boxwalla, who is producing the film on behalf of Sahara One, says: "They will all be making fleeting appearances in casual roles.
"For instance, Suniel Shetty will be seen in the role of a stranger crossing the road who asks Boman Irani the time. On the other hand, Abhishek will be seen ordering a pizza in an outlet. And Karan Johar plays himself."
He adds: "There isn't anything specific to it. It is just a gesture of friendship and the goodwill they share with Sujoy and me."
Sanjay Dutt will also feature prominently in the film's credits. Boxwalla reveals: "He has rendered Mahima's title song in the film."
Meanwhile, Vishal-Shekhar's ingenuous musical score with a record number of 21 songs has generated a lukewarm response from the audiences.
