"Love is everything for me. It's the way of life. It's the way of expressing and way of breathing for me," Rithvik told IANS.
"It's the strongest and sweetest... Everyone should at least experience the emotion once in a lifetime," added the actor who is dating his "Pavitra Rishta" co-star Asha Negi. The two had won the sixth season of dance reality show "Nach Baliye".
He also feels that love has different connotations.
"Love is not just about love for your girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or wife. Love, for me, is the love for my work, family and even friends. The emotion is very strong. It comes with a lot of responsibilities," said the actor
Rithvik, who hosts "Yeh Hai Aashiqui" for UTV Bindaas, says his stint on the show has strengthened his belief in the emotion.
"After 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui', I was so touched by the stories that it made me believe that 'Pyaar to yeh hota hai, humne to kuch bhi nhi kiya hai'.
In one of the stories, a guy falls in love with a girl's voice and later when he learns that she is a handicap, he accepts her despite her illness.
And Rithvik said: "It has taught me how to fall in true love, which is very, very beautiful."
Currently, the actor is excited about his new show "Fanaah - An Impossible Love Story". Inspired by "Vampire Diaries", it went on air Monday on MTV.
This is so because he is once again playing werewolf in the show after supernatural drama "Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani" (PKYEK), in which Vivian Dsena played the lead role.
"I am playing a werewolf in the show, again, and I feel lucky to play the role twice. It's very interesting because the love story I feature in is unique and one of its kind," he said.
He is confident that the vampire show would revolutionise the small screen.
"We are trying to give makeover to Indian TV with the show. We aim to bring a revolution with the show. We want to make the youth believe that we can have such amazing shows in our country too," he added.
