Kama Sutra - A Tale of Love (1996): Like the name suggests, the movie had lot of sex, erotica and sensuality. Starring Rekha, Indira Verma and Sarita Chaudhary, this Mira Nair movie depicted 'a tale of love' dating back to 16th century. The movie was packed with power-packed performances, a raw appeal, exotic sets and soft-core sex scenes that did complete justice to the entire storyline. The film saw a delayed release in India in 1998 because of its controversial erotic scenes.
Utsav (1984): This movie saw the gorgeous Rekha play the role of as temptress. A period drama, Utsav is an adaptation of a Sanskrit drama called 'Mrichchhakatika'. The story is about a courtesan and her chance meeting with a poor Brahmin man in Ujjain. Directed by Shashi Kapoor, the movie got lot of rave reviews for the perfect depiction of sexuality, sensuality and seduction.
Jism 2 (2012): When director Pooja Bhatt promised that as compared to Jism, which starred Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, Jism 2 would be raunchier, people raised eyebrows. However, the director smartly signed adult movie star Sunny Leone to debut in this bold movie opposite Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh. The film has long sex scenes but the steaminess coupled with Sunny's bold performance failed to charm the audience.
Murder (2004): If someone can carry off a bold scene convincingly in today's time it is definitely the hot Mallika Sherawat. The bold and beautiful actress was at her erotic best in this 2004 flick. The plot revolves around a passionate extra marital affair between the actress and her old flame that damages her marriage. Be it the theme, steamy scenes or songs, this flick had the cash box ringing at the box-office.
Hate Story (2012): Director Vivek Agnihotri gave audience no reason to complain when he came up with erotic film 'Hate Story'. Bong bombshell Paoli Dam looked scintillating in scenes which showed her making love with different men. The plot of this erotic flick is revenge and thriller, and its erotic theme, sexual content and nudity made it a success at box-office.
