It is also pertinent to mention that Salman's previous cine outing 'Jai Ho' failed to live upto the expectations and collected only 17 Cr on its opening day and even its life time collection breathed its last at Rs 117 Cr mark. But this time with 'Kick', Khan seems to have compensated for everything which he lost with 'Jai Ho'.
Subtitled in seven different languages 'Kick' received the widest release for a Bollywood movie with approx 5000 screens worldwide.
In-fact reports even suggest that besides India 'Kick' has succeeded in receiving a warm reception overseas too. In North America the movie has raked in almost $340,000 which is reportedly is the highest opening for any of the Salman starrers till date. Even in UK and Australia, Kick has done a good business and has earned $ 118,616 and $61,921 respectively. Now with Eid holiday ahead the movie is expected to set new record on the BO.
