T-Series acquires music rights of 'Khoobsurat'

Bhushan Kumar's T-Series has acquired the music rights of Sonam Kapoor starrer romantic comedy 'Khoobsurat'.

'Khoobsurat' stars Sonam Kapoor and Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan.

The film is a remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 1980 film of the same name which had Rekha and Rakesh Roshan in the lead.

`I am glad that Disney's first Hindi film is co-produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company and the music rights are acquired by T-Series. I am looking forward to associate with them for their future projects too,` Bhushan Kumar said in a statement, reports The Indian Express.

The music is composed by Sneha Khanwalkar who last worked on the music of Anurag Kashyap's 'Gangs of Wasseypur'.

The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapoor (Disney), Rhea Kapoor and Anil Kapoor (Anil Kapoor Film Company). It is releasing on September 19.
