Trade analyst Amod Mehra says, "Salman's film has had a great run at the box office and it will break his own box office record that was earlier set by his film, 'Ek Tha Tiger' (2012). The film did see a drop in its collection over the last week, but that was expected."
'Kick' will be the fourth film to join the Rs 200 crore club. The other three films who can boast of this distinction are 'Dhoom 3', 'Chennai Express' and '3 Idiots'.
Exhibitor Rajesh Thadani says that they are now playing the waiting game. "Let's see if it crosses the revenue earned by 'Chennai Express'," he says.
Meanwhile, the box office collection of 'Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania' stands at about Rs 77 crore and 'Hate Story 2' has collected Rs 22 crore. Marathi film, 'Lai Bhaari', that stars Ritiesh Deshmukh, has already collected Rs 33 crore; distributor Nitin Keni says that it has broken the record set by 'Timepass', which has clocked in Rs 31 crore so far.
