Actor Rahul Roy, who became a youth icon after his debut movie 'Aashiqui' in 1990, disappeared from the celluloid seven years ago but he says he will make his comeback on the big screen this year.

"I am still doing films... I have a film releasing on September 26 which is called 'To Be Or Not To Be'," said Roy, who was attending an Independence day dinner organised by Federation of Indian Associations in Victoria (FIAV) here last night.

"I am already shooting a film called '100 Crores' for which I would be going back to India to shoot next week," he told the gathering of high profile politicians and Indian community members. Roy revealed that he was also working on a film called 'Desi Kangaroo' written by the noted author Ketan Bhagat to be shot in December this year.

"Ketan has written a beautiful script on the Indians who come here to Australia and I hope I am able to justice to the film," said Roy, adding that he was the first Bollywood actor to have lived in Australia as a permanent resident. "I am getting actors like Boman Irani, Kunal Kapoor to shoot this film which would start this year end for thirty days," he said.

The 45-year old actor started his career with romantic musical drama 'Aashiqui' and became an overnight phenomenon with his debut hit. However, he failed to replicate the success of his first film and then took a break from Bollywood.

In 2006, Roy was seen in Indian reality TV series 'Bigg Boss'. Roy has been living in Sydney for many years now and was married to Rajlaxmi. The couple decided to part ways this year after having been married for the last 14 years.
