Salman Khan asked Sooraj not to cast Sonakshi

Salman Khan, who will be seen in Sooraj Barjatya's next, Prem Ratan Dhan Pao had reportedly advised the director to not cast Sonakshi Sinha. Later, the role was grabbed by Sonam Kapoor.

According to a report in Bollywoodlife, Sonakshi's on-screen image had made Sooraj finalise Sonakshi for the character in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Salman Khan, who has shared screen with Sonakshi in Dabangg and Dabangg 2 advised Sooraj to sign an actress which will give a fresh jodi.

Sooraj was keen in casting Sonakshi, but Salman suggested someone else opposite him so that people get to see a never-seen-before pair on the silver screen.


Salman and Sonam's pairing has created lot of news in the industry and their fans are eagerly waiting to see them sizzle in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. However, they will miss seeing Sonakshi opposite Salman in the film. The film also features Armaan Kohli, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles.
