"It is part of my plan for next year. I have been trying to work out a film with Sanjay Dutt for sometime and I have zeroed on a script that will be ideal for him," he says.
The film titled "Bhrasht" is among the many films that he is planning in the serious genre. The director, who has acquired the reputation of a comedy-specialist, recently expressed his desire to revert back to serious filmmaking.
"Kyon Ki" was the second film in the genre but it didn't do well at box-office. On the other hand his comedy, "Garam Masala", was a crowd puller.
He admits that the experience hasn't disillusioned him.
"I am aware of the fact that I cannot please the audiences every time. If anything, I don't want to be stamped with one kind of cinema. Why does everyone keep forgetting that I initiated my way into Hindi films with 'Virasat' and 'Gardish'? " he says.
Currently he is working on Shahid Kapur, Kareena Kapoor, and Sushma Reddy starrer "Chupke Chupke", a love story with an undercurrent of humor.
His next release is "Malamaal Weekly", which is scheduled for an early 2006 release.
