Director Vishal Bharadwaj is busy denying the news doing rounds that his forthcoming film Mr Mehta
and Mrs Singh has been shelved.
"Mr Mehta and Mrs Singh has not been shelved. The news is not true. And Kareena is not out of the
project," says Bharadwaj. Though he confirmed Aamir Khan's exit from the film. "However, we are yet
to sign the principle character, the role that Aamir Khan was supposed to play," he says.
Bharadwaj is non-committal on Saif Ali Khan taking up the role. "It is too early to talk about anything.
There are a lot of formalities to be worked out. Once things are confirmed, I will make an official
announcement," the director says.
Meanwhile, the director is busy with another venture, Othello, an adaptation of William
Shakespeare's play. "Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Konkana Sen
Sharma are very much a part of my film Othello," he concludes.
