Sameer Nair, COO of Star India has denied rumours that Abhishek Bachchan will host KBC 2. The speculation was sparked off when Bachchan senior had to be admitted to the hospital as he was suffering from colitis.

Nair said, "Amitabh Bachchan will continue as the anchor of KBC 2 and we will wait for him to recover completely after which we will shoot fresh episodes." He added, "Our foremost concern is Bachchan's health. We wish him a speedy recovery."

Sai Baba will replace KBC 2 on Sundays at 9 pm. There will be two special episodes of KBC 2 on December 24 and 31, one will be of special moments shared with contestants and the other with the celebrities.
