Some young stars already have lookalikes mushrooming alongside

At first glance, they look like twins. But observe closely and you realise these youngsters resemble Bollywood actors. Here is what they have to say about their lives and the reaction their looks garner.

Hitesh Gwalani (Arjun Kapoor lookalike)

Arjun Kapoor's lookalike Hitesh Gwalani is from Hyderabad and has just finished his graduation from St Mary's College.

First realisation: One of my uncles was the first one to tell me that I resemble Arjun Kapoor. I was also overweight like he used to be. Arjun used to weigh 137 kg at one time and so did I.

Experience: One of my teachers put up my picture and a snapshot of Arjun on Facebook. People were confused between the two of us. While working out at a gym, a group of guys approached me and asked me whether I was Arjun Kapoor.

Aspirations: I have taken up a job in a tax office, but I want to become an actor.

Parents' reaction: They feel good that their son is getting attention, but they constantly ask me to create my own image. Earlier, they were not happy about my acting aspirations, but now they are fine.

Personal reaction: Many women show an interest in me as I look like Arjun Kapoor. Once at a traffic signal a guy knocked on the car window and asked, `Are you Arjun Kapoor?` I was embarrassed. A few of my friends have stored my number as 'Arjun Kapoor'. I have lost weight, too. I am keen to meet the actor with my friend Harshita, who is a huge fan of his. I watch his films first day, first show.

Shishir Sharma (Aditya Roy Kapur lookalike)

Aditya Roy Kapur's look alike, Shishir Sharma, is from Bhopal. He has done his BTech from Bansal Institute of Technology.

First realisation: After Aashiqui 2, some of my friends told me that I resembled Aditya.

Experience: People have mistaken me for Aditya Roy Kapur on several occasions.

Aspirations: I am an upcoming actor and feature in Madhur Bhandarkar's film Calendar Girls. I have also been doing theatre and television shows. I shifted to Mumbai three years ago.

Parents' reaction: After my parents saw Aashiqui 2, they felt even I can become an actor as I resemble a movie star.

Personal reaction: Since I am an actor myself, I want to create my own identity.

Junaid Shah (Ranbir Kapoor's lookalike)

The Ranbir Kapoor look alike, Junaid Shah, from Srinagar, Kashmir, is pursuing MBA from Kashmir University.

First realisation: When Ranbir began shooting for his debut film Saawariya, my best friend Sana told me, `Ek naya banda aaya hai and you look like him.` I was 17 then. Until 2010 only my friends noticed the resemblance, but after that, a lot of people started mistaking me for the star.

Experience: I get a lot of female attention. Recently at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, a group of girls hugged me and asked me for pictures. They said they will show off the pictures to their pals. Once at Boulevard Dal Gate, a group of girls stared at me. When I got into my car, they started running behind me and asked me whether I was Ranbir Kapoor.

Aspirations: I want to do modelling after I finish my MBA. I will shift to Mumbai soon.

Parents' reaction: My parents don't like it. They tell me that I should have my own identity. My father is a fingerprint expert and mother is an accountant. They want me to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Personal reaction: I am happy that I resemble Ranbir Kapoor, but I want to create my own identity. I want to begin a career in the field of modelling soon.

Harneet Singh (Parineeti Chopra lookalike)

Parineeti Chopra's lookalike, Harneet Singh, is from Delhi. She is pursuing her Masters in Fashion Designing from NIFT.

First realisation: Ever since Parineeti entered the scene, people have pointed out the resemblance between us. But recently, after I got a pixie haircut like the actress in Hasee Toh Phasee, the resemblance became more obvious.

Experience: Thankfully, I have not had any crazy moments till now, but a lot of people come and tell me that I look like Parineeti Chopra.

Aspirations: I want to start my own business.

Parents' reaction: They are okay when people point out to the similarity in our looks.

Personal reaction: When people compliment me I thank them but that's about it. I am not a Bollywood fan at all. I am not proud of the fact that I resemble the actress.
