The 46-year-old actor, who is known for giving some brilliant performances in 'Bheja Fry', 'Dasvidaniya' and 'Mithya' among others, said when he opts for a film he likes to mould himself for the character he is playing. "I don't have talent to do a lot of work at one time.
I don't have the capacity to switch on and switch off from a character quickly because I study a lot for it. I can't do a film for the sake of doing it. I am actually a lazy artiste," Vinay told PTI. The actor, who was last seen in comedy drama 'Bajatey Raho', is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film 'Badlapur'.
The Sriram Raghavan-directed revenge drama will see him playing a pivotal role besides an ensemble starcast of Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam and Radhika Apte. Apart from his film projects, Vinak is back on TV with the second season of 'Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai', where celebrities share the memories of their ancestral home.
The first guest on the Sony TV show was five time World Boxing Champion Mary Kom. "This is the first time that the show has travelled to Imphal. Every moment on the show was interesting. Mary is one of the most humble people I have met in my life. She is not only a champion in sports but a warm mother too.
She has immense respect for her parents," he said. Vinay feels that the show also helped him evolve as a human being. "Meeting a celebrity and knowing them so closely leaves a strong impact on me. All of them are so humble and have stories like any common man. With them (celebrities), I also travelled to their small and happy world," he said.
