Ruling out the reports of making his next project on Narendra Modi, noted Indian filmmaker Prakash Jha said that his next is going to be on the current relationship between the police and the society, reports Indian Express.

Jha, who is known for making films on topical issues, said the shooting for his yet-untitled film would begin in January next year.

"I have not decided on the name (of the movie) yet. It (the next movie) is about the relationship between police and society," Jha said while attending a panel discussion held on the sidelines of the Washington DC South Asian Film Festival.

Jha's 2003 film 'Gangajal' was also on the same issue, which he said he would be revisiting a decade later.

"I am working on police society relationship," said Jha, who himself has written the script of the movie.

He did not reveal the names of the actors and actress of his next movie.

Responding to a questions from the audience, Jha said he is not contemplating making a movie on the current Indian Prime Minister.

"I am not making a movie on Modi. His story is still unfolding. Let's see how it shapes," Jha said.

The producer of several award-winning movies, Jha said he does not have an agenda of making movies and delves into the subject which is a reflection of the society he lives in.

"I do not have an agenda. I am a little bit more curious than others and I want to bring those to the notice of the people," he said.
