If sources are to be believed, the makers of Jagga Jasoos are considering re-shooting a few portions of the film and there is a strong buzz that they are also thinking of approaching Jackie Shroff to play Govinda's role.
Turns out that the film, that has Govinda play Ranbir Kapoor's father, revolves around the father-son duo. A source says that it's an important role but Govinda's interference with regards to the film's script has apparently not been received well by the filmmakers.
A source from the industry reveals that when the film was being shot in Cape Town, South Africa, Govinda didn't shoot for two days since his hand was hurting. It is being said that while Govinda did finish his shoot, he apparently wished to make changes in the film's script and this didn't go down very well with the makers.
Now it has emerged that the film's Mumbai schedule, which was to start from mid- September and go on till mid-October, has been cancelled. A source says, "The makers are planning to rope in Jackie Shroff for Govinda's role. They haven't approached Jackie yet as they are still considering the idea. Govinda wanted to make a lot of changes in the script and the makers weren't very happy about it. Also, there is no clarity about when the film's next schedule will start and where it will be shot."
Director Anurag Basu and Govinda remained unavailable for comment.
