Starting this fall, Shiamak Dance classes will be conducted at multiple studios across New York and New Jersey. His senior faculty members, Deeba Patel, Bhuvan Sharma & Devashree Pande will be teaching these classes. They have been trained by Shiamak for years and have performed at national and international events, films, sports events and award shows. They have also trained the biggest Bollywood stars and performed with.
Shiamak has introduced the world to new dance forms which are amalgamations of Indian and Western dance forms fused with his own personal style. Spreading the joy of dance to ages four to eighty four, his faculty teach his patent dance styles including Shiamak's Indo Jazz, Shiamak's Bollywood Jazz and Shabop (Hip Hop & Street Funk) amongst many others.
Shiamak's association with the USA goes back several decades. Now with his academy here, he embarks on a journey to educate enterain and empower people through dance and the performing arts. From singing with music legends including Sting, Will Smith and Bryan Adams to associating with Former President Bill Clinton and Hollywood actor Richard Gere for social causes, Shiamak has built strong cultural relations between the two countries.
A dear friend and someone who Shiamak considers as his Guru, Debbie Allen has taught workshops at Shiamak's Dance Studio in Mumbai. Dancers from Shiamak's academy have visited Los Angeles to train at The Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA), and teachers from DADA have taught at Shiamak's academy in Mumbai. The Shiamak Davar Dance Company has performed several times in USA for shows and events including The Unforgettable World Tour with the Bachchan, the IIFA Awards (Florida, 2014), The Bollywood Awards, Sangeet Awards and corporate events. He also choreographed for the Hollywood Blockbuster, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.
At the recently held event in New York, Diwali at Times Square, Shiamak Dance Team (USA) got hundreds of enthusiasts on their feet was a spectacular performance. This performance was a preview of the high quality dancing Shiamak promises to spread in the USA through his trained faculty.
Popular television reality show judge for Dance India Dance, Master Marzi was also present at the event and brought a whole new energy. Inviting dance enthusiasts on stage, Marzi took an impromptu dance class with hundreds of screaming fans at Times Square.
With his classes successfully running in India, Canada, Australia, UK and UAE, Shiamak is all set to make the United States dance to his moves!
