"No dates have yet been decided on Bachchan sir resuming his shootings," told officials at his office.
The Star TV authorities too denied receiving a specific date on which Big B would resume shooting for next episodes of Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 (KBC2), as reported in a section of media.
Bachchan was discharged from Leelavati Hospital on December 17 after recuperating for almost three weeks.
When contacted, Star TV authorities said it was upto Bachchan to decide when he wishes to resume the shoots of KBC 2 as they were ready to resume shoots even at a short notice.
The dates of Big B starting shoots for KBC 2, commercials and unfinished movies are flying thick and high in the media.
The first priority for the actor, as soon as he resumes work would be to complete KBC2 shoots as Star TV is running out of episodes of its one of the successful running shows, say industry sources.
The channel has already stopped telecast of the show on Sundays and instead are running it only twice a week, on Fridays and Saturdays.
Even after these steps, they would run out of episodes by January third week, said Star officials.
Now it is upto Bachchan to decide and end the suspense on his return to the sets.
Following a major surgery, the doctors had suggested the superstar some rest before he returns to his routine to help heal the operated part.
Industry estimates suggest that Bachchan's illness had brought production worth Rs 250 crore to a standstill.
Rajkumar Santoshi's film Family, slated for release on December 23, was postponed for a January release, while production of films like Babul and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna starring the superstar are awaiting his return.
