Director Vikram Chopra, who is debuting with his film "Fight Club", is quite pleased with the curiosity
generated by the film's tagline. The casually styled promos ask a series of questions and one of them
is: "Have you picked up a fight lately?"
Says Chopra: "The line and the visuals have elicited considerable curiosity among college-going
audiences. The idea is to present a group of friends, who are beaten and bruised but still keep
smiling."
According to Chopra, he and his producer friend Sohail Khan specially designed the tagline and
posters to attract all sections of the audience.
The film is an action comedy about 12 friends who stick together through good times and bad times,
though only eight of them remain in the end. Chopra maintains that the story written by Sohail is a
salute to friendship.
"The theme of the film is friendship and it is so much close to the relationship Sohail and all of us
share in real life. Eventually it's very important to have friends," he says.
Presented by Bharat Shah and produced by Sohail Khan and Ravi Walia, the film is scheduled for a
Jan 26 release. The film stars Sohail Khan, Suniel Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, Amrita Arora and
others.
