In the glamour world, media scrutiny is but par for the course. Stars may love it or hate it but they can't run away from it, which is why their appearances assume so much significance - particularly in current times when netizens can use social media to critique even the smallest of slip-ups. No wonder then that good stylists are in great demand these days. That said, if some Bollywood actresses' recent avatars are anything to go by, they surely ought to overhaul their wardrobes at the earliest.

Then again, couturier Jean Paul Gaultier has famously remarked, `It's always the badly dressed people who are the most interesting.`

Not everyone can be a tall, lanky lass but the trick is to wear clothes that hide one's flaws instead of flaunting them. Red carpet dressing seems like a new world for Huma, who is known to take solace in casual comfort. And while we are all for it, togging out in a black tee and jeans and pairing it with a dull denim jacket and a cap, even for a film screening, is taking things too far.

There is a time and a dress for every occasion but Richa Chadda is apparently oblivious to this. At a recent media interaction, she turned up in a peplum leather corset and jeans and the look did nothing for her. Not very long ago, she appeared in a black sari and a tacky sheer blouse, which was, well, sheer disaster. Her most recent public appearance saw her makeup match her dress and the result was a washed out look. Richa can surely do better than this, innit?

Not many know that Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha's daughter was interested in pursuing a career in fashion designing before Bollywood came calling. While her onscreen avatar can be traced to her predilection for village belle roles, the Dabangg actress has no chance at redemption as far as her red carpet appearances are concerned. At a recent bash, she turned up in a denim, zippered jumpsuit that was anything but flattering. This was followed by a tiered gown that looked like it would come undone any minute. A little too fashion forward, perhaps?

If wearing too much makeup and garish clothes were a crime, Mahie Gill would be pronounced guilty. On many a occasion, the Devdas actress has turned up in blindingly bright outfits that look like they've been purchased from a local market and not a designer store. The actress is also known to be barely versatile as far as her Western wear choices are concerned.

The Veer actress too has had many of her looks fall flat. From sheer blouses and ill-fitting tees to overdoing bling, she has done it all. Time to get a new stylist, we'd say. Pretty please!
