For the past few months, Yash Raj Studios had been fashioning the exteriors of a train splashed with red and grey hues, just a few metres from its entrance.
We have learnt that it was being put together for Maneesh Sharma's upcoming film, Fan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and will be used for a fight sequence between the actor and the villain.
An insider says it was the Rajdhani Express that was being recreated in one of the studios. Fan went on the floors only recently and the details being kept under wraps.
Director Maneesh Sharma, who is a self-confessed, die-hard Shah Rukh fan, is said to be personally looking into every detail of pre-production before the shoot takes off in earnest after SRK's Happy New Year releases on October 24.
Renowned special effects and make up maestro, Greg Cannom has been roped in to lend a special look to Shah Rukh, which, again, is being shielded against media glare.
Yash Raj spokesperson confirmed the story, saying, "The train set was part of our first schedule, which is now over. Shah Rukh, who will play the never-seen-before role of being the biggest fan of himself, had also tweeted at the end of the first day's shoot of this schedule." The tweet read: "Finished once again a 15 hour gruelling day of satisfying work on Fan. Thanks Maneesh & ur Fan Team... being so nice to me & smiling along (sic)."
