Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, whose latest Diwali release 'Happy New Year' has opened to good response at box office, is down with cold and fever.

The 48-year-old actor took to Twitter to share the news about his illness with his fans.

"Down with cold and fever. Can't smell a thing, not even the success. Can see it... feel it... read it... waiting to smell it! Thanks all for loving 'HNY'," Shah Rukh wrote on his Twitter page.

Shah Rukh recently suffered a minor knee sprain during the promotions of 'Happy New Year'.

The actor has begun filming for Yash Raj Films next production 'Fan' to be directed by Maneesh Sharma.
