Ranveer Singh's next film will release on the same day as last year's 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela'

The actor was catapulted to the top bracket and earned critical acclaim with an intense performance in 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela' last year. Now, he would be hoping for the same response to his upcoming film, 'Kill Dil' co-starring Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar, which, incidentally, releases around the same time as the blockbuster.

'Kill Dil' will release in mid November, exactly the time when Ram Leela hit the theatres and the actor feels this time of the year is lucky for him. A source says, "Ranveer figured out that Ram Leela released in the second week of November and went on to become a hit. So, now he is quite excited that his next film is coincidentally releasing on the same day. He is hoping for an enthusiastic response, but is also keeping his fingers crossed at the same time."


Though the actor may not be seen promoting Kill Dil as much as he would have liked to - he is laying low to shield his bald look in Bhansali's magnum opus, Bajirao Mastani - he is said to be quite hopeful about this film's prospects.

Ranveer's spokesperson said, "It is a big coincidence that 'Kill Dil' will release on the same day as 'Ram Leela'. When Ranveer realised it, he immediately shared it with his team. It is rare for any actor."
