"Our entire Kannada film fraternity will be joining hands for this programme. We've sent invitations to Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Mammootty and Mohanlal. All of them are expected to attend the opening ceremony," H.D. Gangaraju, president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, told IANS.
Touted to be one of the biggest events in Kannada industry, the memorial which includes a three-foot bronze statue of Rajkumar with an exhibition of photographs will be opened to public as well.
"The memorial is located on the premises of Kanteerava Studio. Members of Rajkumar Pratisthana will be supervising all activities related to the ceremonial programme. An 800-seater auditorium will also be part of the memorial," he said.
According to reports, a whopping Rs.7 crore has been spent on the memorial.
