Leaving behind a number of controversies in its wake, Directed Ketan Mehta's 'Rang Rasiya' released this weekend and received a warm welcome. 'Rang Rasiya' is based on the life and times of 19th century Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma played by Randeep Hooda. A number of Bollywood names have watched the film and have appreciated it for its brilliant cinematography. Celebrities like Mahesh Bhatt, Soni Razdan, Shashi Tharoor, RJ Jeeturaj, Manisha Koirala, Kailash Kher among others have also praised the film.

B-town is buzzing with positive reviews for 'Rang Rasiya' and some of these reviews are as below.

Indian columnist, novelist and socialite Shobhaa De said, "Nandana Sen is just ravishing as Sugandha in Rang Rasiya". Actress Manisha Koirala also complimented film saying, "Just got back after watching Rang Rasiya. Rang Rasiya is a fabulous film by Ketan Mehta. Lovely performances by both lead actors Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen!!"

Well known singer, composer Kailash Kher, who was extremely pleased with film's release said, "Finally Rang Rasiya released. My Favourite Ketan Mehta has created another masterpiece. All art lovers would bless him after watching it." Actress Soni Razdan was not far behind and tweeted, "A masterpiece about a master painter by a maestro filmmaker. Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen are superb. Ketan Mehta's Rang Rasiya Wah!"


Indian cinematographer Ayananka Bose praised the film, "Rang Rasiya ! Learnt so much through the film and enjoyed the flourishing portrayal of the painter by the handsome Randeep Hooda!! Popular Fashion photographer Atul Kasbekar complimented, "Some stories need to be told, Rang Rasiya is one such film. Learnt a lot of what I actually should've known like Dadasaheb Phalke was Ravi Varma's assistant!
