Indian columnist, novelist and socialite Shobhaa De said, "Nandana Sen is just ravishing as Sugandha in Rang Rasiya". Actress Manisha Koirala also complimented film saying, "Just got back after watching Rang Rasiya. Rang Rasiya is a fabulous film by Ketan Mehta. Lovely performances by both lead actors Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen!!"
Well known singer, composer Kailash Kher, who was extremely pleased with film's release said, "Finally Rang Rasiya released. My Favourite Ketan Mehta has created another masterpiece. All art lovers would bless him after watching it." Actress Soni Razdan was not far behind and tweeted, "A masterpiece about a master painter by a maestro filmmaker. Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen are superb. Ketan Mehta's Rang Rasiya Wah!"
