Actress Sameera Reddy, who got married early this year to businessman Akshai Varde, is said to be expecting her first child. While the actress remained unavailable for comment, a friend of hers confirms the news, saying: 'Sam is expecting and we all are very happy for her.'

The couple had met during a bike shoot (Akshai runs a customised bike company) and started dating soon after. Close friends of the couple say that the parents to-be are thrilled about their first baby.


The Reddys are also excited about welcoming the second grandchild to the family. Sameera's elder sister Meghna Reddy has a son. Another friend of the actress says, "It was a lovely surprise when we found out about Sam's pregnancy. Akshai and Sam make a really cute couple and they are both looking forward to parenthood."
