The production team of Milap Zaveri's 'Mastizaade' is said to be miffed with costume designer Leepakshi Ellawadi and have sent her a legal notice for not delivering the star cast's costumes on time.
An industry source says, "Sunny Leone had recommended Leepakshi's name for the project and after she came on board, she took more than 70 per cent of her fee in advance. But, she didn't give any costumes for nearly 45 days. When the makers called her, she asked for a week's time. At the end of that deadline, she delivered a few outfits which were found to have been used earlier in various shows and events."
Producer Pritish Nandy's team is apparently planning to sue her if the designer, who was earlier linked to cricketer Yuvraj Singh, doesn't reply to the notice.
"Leepakshi sent them a bill of R10 lakh even though the costumes were not worth more than Rs 2-3 lakh. She stopped reverting to the producer's calls after which they sent her a legal notice. As she went missing, her assistant stepped in for her," another source close to the production house says.
While Zaveri and Leepakshi remained unavailable for comment, Nandy feigns ignorance about the matter. "I am travelling and have no idea about this as of now," he says.
