The film focuses on Durga (Amisha Patel), a blind girl living in Rajasthan.

Despite her disability, Durga has the gift of making beautiful clay statues which she learnt from her deceased father.

Soon, she comes across Rohit (Arjun Rampal), who is impressed by Durga's artistic talent. With time they fall in love.

The twist comes when Rana, the village gangster tries to rape Durga but is stopped in the process by Rohit.

With enough money saved, Rohit decides to pay for Durga's eye operation. But just when the bandages are about to be opened, Rohit loses his life in a tragic incident.

Totally heartbroken, Durga tries to commit suicide but is saved by the eye specialist. The doctor takes her to Switzerland to recuperate from her tragic loss.

There, she meets Raj (Bobby Deol), a rich businessman. He falls in love with Durga at first sight but she cannot reciprocate his feelings.

Unable to convince Durga to let go of the past, Raj takes her to his house to reveal his own past sorrow. He shows her the photographs of his dear friend who happens to be none other than Rohit.

Durga finally agrees to marry Raj but during the engagement celebrations, Raj finds that Rohit is still alive.
