The YashRaj Film Production starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, which marked Aditya Chopra's directorial debut, has been playing out in the iconic Maratha Mandir, making it the longest running film in the history of Indian cinema.
It will complete 1000 weeks on December 12.
"DDLJ 1000 weeks. Congratulations to Adi Chopra and the whole team. The film defined a generation. Wish they still made films like this. From the heart," Kapur, who has directed films like' Bandit Queen', 'Mr India', 'Elizabeth', posted on Twitter.
