You could call it 'Luck By Chance, Part 2', if there was a script to go with Farhan Akhtar's kid sister Zoya's filmmaking adventures.
Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani's second-born decided to turn director last year with Luck By Chance , a script that took a satirical and scathing swipe at the quirks and aberrations of the film industry. The ever-indecisive Saif Ali Khan gave his nod to the unusual film and then backed out, leaving the coast clear for a total re-casting that included Tabu.
But now Zoya has decided to put Luck By Chance on the back- burner. "Not that I'm not making it. I'm definitely going to pull it out at some point. But not right now. I've written another script which I'm now going to make with Hrithik Roshan in the lead. Since the film gets going only in October 2006 I have a lot of time to prep it up."
The untitled film will be produced by Zoya's brother Farhan and his friend Ritesh Sidhwani.
Says Zoya, "All I can say at this point of time is, this film will be nothing like Luck By Chance. I am happy to work with Hrithik. My brother had a great time working with him in Lakshya. I'm sure I will too."
