Sonam Kapoor supposedly got her seat changed at an award function to avoid meeting Deepika Padukone

They have shared icy vibes in the past but were said to have patched up during a recent film screening. But if rumour mills are to be believed, Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone still prefer to keep distance from each other.

A source present at an awards function on Sunday tells us, "Sonam walked in and asked the organisers to change her seat as she was not keen to meet Deepika, who was to be seated in the same area. She was then accommodated in another actors' group and immediately left after collecting her award."

Sonam's spokesperson denies the buzz and says, "Sonam left long before Deepika even came in - that was an hour before her award was announced. Moreover, she had to rush for a family dinner. Sonam was backstage and on her way out when Deepika walked in. They are absolutely cordial."


Sonam responds to the buzz by saying, "That is really funny."

Earlier this year, Sonam during her appearance on Koffee With Karan took a dig at the Ram Leela actress. On being asked about one thing which Deepika Padukone has and she doesn't, Sonam promptly replied, "An over-enthusiastic publicist."
