After a long gap, after delivering super hit films in Hindi like Welcome and Dr Prakash Baba Amte in Marathi, Nana Patekar is all set to steal the show in an usual role as a film director in the forthcoming film 'Final Cut' directed by the renowned South Indian director Bharathi Rajaa who had earlier directed films such as Saveriwali Gaadi Se, Red Rose, Lovers etc. The film presented by Ajmal Hassan and produced by Paul Pandiyan and Dr Rajan from USA under the banner of Therkathi Kalai Koodam, also stars, besides Nana Patekar also Arjun, Kajal Aggarwal, Rukmani, Vatul Sethi and Mushtaq Khan among others in key roles.

'Final Cut' is a suspense thriller based on Cinema and revolves around the incidents happening on and off the film sets where Nana Patekar plays the role of the director, while Kajal Aggarwal, last seen in Hindi films like Singham, Special Chabbis, who has been teamed opposite Arjun is playing the role of a TV reporter.

According to Ajmal Hassan, who has to his credit many films in Malayalam and Tamil as a producer, the film 'Final Cut' will definitely procure the national award in acting for Nana Patekar who has rendered an effortless performance in the film. Kannan is the cameraman of the film which has lyrics written by Samir set to tune by music director Himesh Reshammiya. Sabu Cyril is the Production Designer of the film which has been written by Bharathi Rajaa himself. While Rukmani is essaying the role of a starlet, Renjeeta is playing the role of Nana's wife. Right now, Ajmal who is all set to release the film Final Cut, is now making the Tamil film Tihar with Parthipan, with Perarasu as the director.
