With Aishwarya Rai opposite Abhishek Bachchan, buzz had it that Mani Ratnam was keen to sign Vidya Balan opposite him but she refused.

Many believe that Vidya Balan has second thoughts about accepting the offer because she has some reservations about being cast opposite Vivek.

This source added the reason for Vidya's apprehension was that she considered herself too big to be cast opposite Vivek Oberoi.
