Severe sinus attack forces actress Shilpa Shetty to skip awards show in Dubai at the last minute

Shilpa Shetty was supposed to be part of an awards function in Dubai on Monday night where the likes of Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Nimrat Kaur were honoured. But, she had to cancel her flight at the last minute due to breathing problems.

A source says, "Shilpa was expected to fly out of the city during the weekend and attend the awards show on Monday and be conferred with the 'great woman achiever' honour. However, while leaving for the airport, she realised that she had difficulty breathing. She was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital and the doctors said it was a case of chronic sinusitis."


Shilpa is now on medication and has been asked to rest for at least a week. The source adds, "Shilpa was advised not to travel and stay at home till the breathing problem subsides. She has been down with fever and cold for some time now but ignored it, thinking it was due to the change in weather. She did not realise it would take a serious turn."

Shilpa, who is said to be better now, was not available for comment.
