The actress may share the stage with Prince Charles at a charity event in London

Rani Mukerji, who is currently in Poland for the premiere of her last release 'Mardaani', is likely to jet off to London in the next few days. No, it won't be for any film's promotion, but a charity dinner to be attended by Prince Charles on February 3.

A source close to the actress reveals that an NGO focussing on girl trafficking would host the event in London and felicitate Rani for her contribution to the cause through Mardaani. In the film, she played a feisty cop who journeys through the sleazy corridors of human trafficking to rescue a teenaged girl. Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi will deliver the keynote speech at the fundraiser.

A source says, "Prince Charles has attended all fundraisers organised by British Asian Trust and it is likely that he will attend the upcoming event too."

Hitan Mehta, executive director of the Trust, says, "We are also looking forward to share the real and tangible impact that has only been made possible because of our supporters."

Last year, the event was attended by celebrity guests such as snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan, three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker and ambassadors including actor-comedian Sanjeev Bhaskar, BBC news presenter Mishal Husain and Gurinder Chadha.

An official from the Trust informed that Rani and Mukesh Ambani will join hands to raise funds for the disadvantaged in South Asia. The event will particularly highlight the issue of abuse and violence against young girls and children.

Though the actress was not available for comment, a source close to her confirms her invitation for the charity dinner next week.
