"What is most exciting about this film, 'Jewellery Box', is the fact that I am doing a double role in the company of my mother," the actress told reporters here Saturday.
Isn't she worried at facing the camera along side the veteran actress?
"What gives me great confidence is that I have great Aparna Sen to guide and direct me," she said.
Soha will play the character of a young girl whose grown up role will be played by Sharmila. Soha also plays the granddaughter of that character.
The star has won many hearts with her performance in blockbuster "Rang De Basanti", and is also looking forward to "Postcard", an English language film in which she gets a chance to brush shoulders with Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter, Kiera Chalin.
Another movie she is anxiously looking forward to is "Ahista Ahista", because its script gives more prominence to the heroine, giving Soha an opportunity to show her talents.
"Most Bollywood films are hero-oriented and do not provide equal opportunity to the female lead. That is why I really love Bengali films as they focus so much more on women," she said.
Soha was in the city as part of a campaign to promote Brooke Bond's herbal tea. She took a walk in joggers' favourite Kasturba Park in the cantonment neighbourhood.
Morning walkers were pleasantly surprised to find the star and have a cup of tea with her. Soha also chatted with them about her films.
