The 60th Britannia Filmfare Awards was the place to be for star gazers as the brightest names of the Bollywood constellation congregated for the fraternity's biggest celebration.

The coveted prize of the night, as always, was the black lady. Hosted by Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and Kapil Sharma, who walked in with a colourful Punjabi troupe, the podium was a starry sight.

The night's opening act was Ranbir Kapoor who took to the stage in a blingy outfit to dance to Badtameez Dil and Balam Pichkari. He was however a no-show on the red carpet and quickly ducked away from the sight of the paparazzi. But hisBombay Velvetdirector, Anurag Kashap, took a leisurely stroll down the red carpet. He was one of the early birds, along with Sunny Leone who was rooting forMaryKom's Priyanka Chopra, to take home the Best Actress trophy.

Tiger Shroff walked in with his Heropanti co-star Kriti Sannon, who looked stunning in a Gauri and Naninika number and announced her support for Kangana Ranaut to win the 'Queenwala' award. The film's director Vikas Bahl too admitted that he hopes to, 'run on stage and grab the trophy'. While Kriti was vocal about her support for Kangana, when asked whether she is romancing Varun Dhawan in Rohit Shetty's next, she walked away.

Incidentally, Varun paid tribute to the jumping Jacks of the past decades, from Shammi Kapoor to Mithun Chakraborty and Govinda, with hit chartbusters like Disco Deewaneand Tera dhyaan kidhar hai. He concluded the medley with the Badlapur hitJee karda.

Varun'sMain Tera Herocostar Nargis Fakhri was a vision on the red carpet in a Sonakshi Raj gown and admitted that she had spent two hours to get ready for the big night.

Randeep Hooda arrived solo and admitted that he was expecting a best actor nomination forHighwayrather thanRang Rasiya. "I've never won an award but am hoping to break the jinx this year."

As is the norm, this awards night too was as much about the performances as it was about trophies.

ABCD 2's leading lady, Shraddha Kapoor showed that she could dance, as she juggled between Kathak and Salsa andDance Basanti and Teri galiyaan.

Arjun Kapoor's act was a tribute to `contemporary superstars' - Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn.

Not only did he deliver a boisterous performance to hisTevarhit,Main Toh Superman Salman ka fan, but a special version of the song was also recorded, which went -Superman Shah Rukh ka fan. He followed this up with an Indiawale performance and also matched steps toSingham Returns' Aata majhi sataklee. And the show went on...
