Daya Nayak`s arrest: Amitabh to be quizzed

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be questioned in connection with the arrest of disgraced police officer Daya Nayak, police officials said here Monday.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Nayak - accused of amassing wealth by corrupt means - here earlier Monday.

The ACB is slated to record Amitabh's statement as he was reportedly present at the inauguration of a Rs.10-million school set up by Nayak.

Nayak established the school in his native village Yennehole in Udupi district of Karnataka in 2000, officials said.

Nayak reportedly killed over 83 members of the underworld in separate incidents during his posting in the Crime Branch.
