by Subhash K Jha One female journalist from Doordarshan has become very famous after the hugely entertaining meet-the-press at Mumbai's Taj Ballroom on Thursday afternoon.

When this lady got up to ask Will a question he pretended to be apprehensive, came down from the dias and hugged the stunned lady.

Thereafter a lot of female and male media-person gathered there to announce Pix, Sony's new Hollywood entertainment channel in India, got a warm hug from Will Smith.

Where there is a Will, there's a weight. The Hollywood mega-star's charm was evident all over Mumbai. Though he's yet to meet the senior Bachchan at Fardeen Khan's party he met Abhishek Bachchan who incidentally is very fond of Will Smith and likes it when people call him the Indian Will Smith.

At the press conference Will paid India's greatest entertainer a huge compliment when he said that he wants to be called 'Big W' after he was told about the 'Big B'.

Throughout the press event Will Smith was at his casual yet informed best. When asked why he supported Sony's Pix channel Smith said he liked the the quality of films like Kramer Vs Kramer and Lawrence Of Arabia to be screened on the Channel.

Unlike the hoity-toity Jackie Chan who came and went from Mumbai recently without winning friends or influencing people Will Smith is making himself popular everywhere in Mumbai.

On Saturday he will attend the Filmfare awards. He is expected to give away one of the major awards.
