Makers of the Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz' are scouting for locations for the film's shoot, which was abruptly stalled in Bengal in December last year. With a major part of the film already shot, sources suggest some scenes need to be re-filmed to maintain continuity.
A source close to the development says, "They have a couple of places in mind, including Uttar Pradesh, but they are yet to zero in on the specific location."
Shortly after the Kushan Nandy project had taken off , his production team had some disagreements with the Federation of Cine Technicians and Workers of Eastern India. Around 40 workers withdrew from the sets in Burdwan alleging non-payment of dues. After this was resolved, the team moved to Bolpur but the same issue resurfaced. Eventually, the shoot had to be scrapped and the makers left the state with a heavily burnt pocket - the fiasco cost them nearly Rs 1 crore.
Nandy confirms having Uttar Pradesh in mind to complete the film's shoot. "But we have not decided on any one place as of now. The first 40 minutes of the film have been shot, but some minuscule portions showing the cityscape, etc. will have to be re-done. We have good footage of the village scenes, so going over the other sequences wouldn't be much of an issue," he says.
