Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's play 'Daddy', based on his 1989 hit of the same name, is all set to be staged in Pakistan.

The film marked the Bollywood debut of Bhatt's daughter Pooja.

The play, which had a successful run in India, will have its Pakistan premiere at the upcoming International Theatre Festival 2015 organised by the National Academy of Performing Arts, Karachi.

The premiere of the play will be attended by the father and daughter duo.

"Daddy' to be staged as a play in Pakistan. Mahesh and Pooja Bhatt to attend!," she tweeted.

In the play, Imran Zahid plays the role that was portrayed by Anupam Kher in the movie.
