The 26-year-old, who has starred in films like `Aashiqui 2`, `Ek Villain` and `Haider`, took to Twitter Sunday to express her views on the day-to-day life of women, saying they are `objectified, abused and treated worse than garbage".
In a series of tweets, Shraddha wrote: Every 20 mins or so, there is a rape happening in our country. And today we are "celebrating" womens day.
`No single day can express the injustice that women have to go through everyday. To be objectified, abused and treated worse than garbage."
She continued: `Stand up against this abuse, not just today but every day. Women are NOT objects. They NEED to be respected. Women empowerment is the best change to make the world a better place.`
Shraddha will be next seen in Remo D'Souza's `AnyBody Can Dance 2`.
